Five employees may be required to SEK 25 million – Helsingborgs Dagblad

Three of them work was freed immediately when it was revealed that they have employment with a competitor while they were still employed by the company Helsingborg. All rejects, however, the allegations that they should have taken new positions while they were still employed by Helsingborg company.

One of them is a woman who is now accused of stealing trade secrets by linking two USB sticks to his work computer. This should have been the day she was exempted from work. Helsingborg The company claims that they are thus robbed of trade secrets and software that would be used by the five employees of new businesses and thus cause extensive damage which is impossible to repair.

In a try to get the information back turned now to the district court with a request for a so-called infringement investigations.

It resulted in three bailiffs and two of the Tax Agency’s IT experts did a form of search, not only in the new company premises in another city in northwest Skåne, but also in the former employees woman’s home.

Both the woman who her husband computers and even her children’s tablet was investigated. However, without USB sticks or any company secrets found. USB sticks, the woman sent for analysis to prove that she is not stealing any sensitive information.

These days, the parties met in a preliminary hearing in the District Court. The woman sued and on 180 000 for breach of the collective agreement, and 150 000 in punitive damages. It’s still small potatoes compared to what Helsingborg The company indicated that it will call for her and her four colleagues.

In a submission to the district court writes company attorney Thomas Ogard – who does not want to speak for HD – that the damage suffered by the company can be estimated to be 25 million. The company claims to have already lost two important customers.

– SEK 25 million is a fantasy sum that can not be taken seriously, says lawyer Michael Lettius, representing the five former employees.
