Ad nauseum want to cheat advertisers – by clicking on absolutely everything – Breakit (press release)

Now, three Americans has gone a step further than the usual ad blocker. They have created an extension to the Firefox browser which, in the background, click on every ad that appears in your browser.

The idea behind the software is to make it harder for companies to track your online behavior. By ad nauseum, “click” on a list for the user it appears that the person is interested in just about everything. Thus deluged the fair conduct in the roar of the clicks and it becomes more difficult for companies to track your behavior.

Ad Nauseums website described the service as a tool to enhance the user’s dissatisfaction with advertising networks that do not take into account user privacy. The service acts as a supplement to the regular adblockers that filter out all advertising.

We have previously written about the so-called “Adblockerbomben” that is about to change ad formats on the world web fundamentally. Although ad nauseum could move around properly in the advertisement pot.

Over a longer period, it has been common for media and sites will charge you per click on ads. Now the whole system is undermined completely on ad nauseum is becoming more prevalent. In the short term, of course clicking of increase for the media but from a longer-term perspective means that one must make the payment model is all about ad nauseum, and similar software is gaining popularity.

It has also become increasingly common for media uses what is known as the programmatic ads. The ads are automatically generated depends, among other things, which sites visitors have been on before.

advertising agencies that have based their business on such ads are likely to be among the hardest hit. In time, they are forced to change their business model completely.

Share network connection via command line? – PC for All

As a continuation of this thread, which links here, wish I could do under the heading.

is thus torque at point 3 that I want to accomplish with a command line.

Have Googled a bit, but think that the solutions are, or seem, unnecessary (?) cumbersome.

Can not do such dividends, as paragraph 3, and then somewhere checking what the distribution looks like behind the scenes?

I want as part of another course of events via a batch file to share the connection but also remove the dividend.

Extensions:

Hmm .. hmm need seems to be gone now .. for some reason .. (?)

But the question can of course remain.

Researchers fix software for future supercomputers – forskning.se

The researchers have received over 36 million to finance the project. Even today’s supercomputers made up of tens to hundreds of computing cores that make up a computer system with massive parallelism. In order to effectively utilize this capacity, access to efficient and scalable parallel algorithms and software, which has long been an area within the computation-oriented and computer science research at Umeå University.

HPC2N (High Performance Computing Center North) at Umeå University offers, as part of VR’s metacentre SNIC, national access to first-class supercomputer system for large-scale computing and mass storage of data.

A trillion operations per second
Future supercomputers will be even more extreme parallel, scalable and heterogeneous; the goal is to deliver supercomputer with a computing capacity of a trillion operations per second (1 trillion = 1 000 000 000 000 000 000; 10 raised to 18) by 2020.

This dramatic developments in turn places new and challenging demands for efficient numerical algorithms and software libraries. The purpose of NLAFET is to tackle these challenges and ultimately deliver new scalable numerical library for large-scale fundamental problems in numerical linear algebra, including the solution of dense and sparse systems of equations and eigenvalue problems.

The components of a program library can be seen as Lego bricks used to build software for different application areas. Today these applications in virtually all of the faculty and research, with the longest tradition in technology and science.

Analysis of large amounts of data
> In addition to simulations of physical models of reality, processing and analysis of large amounts of data an important area with many new applications.

NLAFET stands for “Parallel Numerical Linear Algebra for Future Extreme Scale Systems” . It is a high-profile research projects (RIA) for extremely scalable computer systems, funded by the European Commission in the section Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) as part of Horizon in 2020.

Horizon 2020 is the EU ‘ Framework Programme for funding research and innovation, with funding of almost € 71 billion over seven years (2014-2020).

In order to achieve the project objectives requires a broad focus on developing new algorithms, exploring advanced scheduling strategies and execution systems, automatic optimization of software (so-called offline and online auto-tuning), and not least to avoid bottlenecks related to communication and synchronization of the millions of computational tasks that together form the whole.

Preconditions for creativity
NLAFET project coordinated by Umeå University, with international partners from the University of Manchester (UniMan), United Kingdom, Institut National de Recherche one Informatique et Automatique (INRIA), France and Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), United Kingdom.

Recently held the project kick-off conference at Umeå University with participants from all four parties. The conference was organized jointly by the Department of Computer Science and HPC2N. At the conference, the arrangement of the research project and its various components.

A key challenge for NLAFET and for all projects within the Horizon 2020 is to create the best possible conditions for creative research to effectively collaborate and together achieve the high ambitions of the project.

I know that it worked in the past but can not access a folder that I share from my laptop, organ, proved when I try going into it from my desktop computer.

It is possible to access the “users” folder, however, do not understand why it is not possible with the other folder.

from my laptop so will I do not for one of the units assigned to the desktop computer, on which I have Windows installed on a partition and a slave-partition, but I come to the second hard disk that is shared there.

What can right the wrong ?

I’m running Windows seventh

this is the same network name and the same kind of meshwork (Home Group)

This message comes up when I can not access the drive I share from my desktop https: //dumpyourphot…hoto/632ZP6itpn

Volvo and pulled into the gas scandal – it was a matter of time – Expressen

It was understood only of when. German authorities investigate a range of brands in addition Volkswagen is logical – and most welcome. I hope that once and for all straightens out some questions.

Volvo is now drawn into diesel scandal seriously. To me, several Volvo managers and engineers repeatedly guaranteed that they were not cheated with an emission in the way Volkswagen is accused. Volvo executives have said that this is not at all occur within Volvo. At the same time, it has become a truth on the street that “everyone cheats course of consumption, the know all.” And it is here we must distinguish between the one and the other.

Volkswagen has cheated with emission values with the help of a special software. They have been recognized and they will try to fix the issue. The Cheat with the software, the approximately 11 million cars from the VW Group worldwide and involves the emission of so-called NOx gases. Besides that VW also recognized that there may be discrepancies and inaccuracies in approximately 800,000 diesel cars in Europe regarding CO2 emissions.

All automakers, VW and Volvo, optimize their cars for the driving cycle that determines consumption data and thus CO2 emissions and the various taxes and fees. The difference between actual consumption and measured in laboratories need need not be, and probably is not, cheating.

The German authorities have since VW scandal erupted tested a number of cars. And I think it’s good that we can now find out if there is a broad cheating among several manufacturers – or whether the differences in emissions is largely due to the optimization of the test cycle.

I’m not so naive as to believe that Volvo certainly not engaged in cheating in any context – it would be like saying that Swedish athletes do not take drugs. I obviously can not vouch for Volvo in any way. But I would be very surprised if it is diverted from Wolfsburg current VW also occurred in Gothenburg for the Volvo. Very surprised.

The news from Germany comes as the EU debates the proposal submitted by the various EU governments put forth just over a week ago. The proposal by the governments considered too weak and most indications now that the European Commission is trying to stop the proposal. I do not think that the proposal is too wimpy. It may be that on paper but in actual traffic and the current actual emissions – and it is surely what we should go for – so, the proposal significantly reduced emissions of NOx emissions. Unfortunately, it is sometimes too much politics to be able to see clearly on one thing. In this case, possibly the Commission to stop a tough proposition and instead end up in another long bench.

Poor rate – the PC for All

Hello

fiber today 100/100 line.

Bandwidth cable, I get out 57.95 Mbit / s

In contrast to the wireless I do not get out more than 16.78 Mbit / s

This I have:

The first ), a router from Telia (TG799vn v2)

2.) A UNIFI Long Range AP.

The wireless is turned off in the router, wireless connectivity via AP

Even when I run the cable so laggy diablo, youtube laggy and the pages load slow.

So it is for all devices that are connected.

TeliaSonera sees no problems anywhere. We can not rule out their shit because we have IP Telephony.

Can we really live with it that it should always be like this?

According to Telia, so they can never guarantee that wireless network to function.

Of course, I also can never request the same speed wireless to cable but even there, it is as I have said tough.

When I masterpiece, I use of TPTEST tool.

Do you have any tips?

Thank you!

Wake-on-LAN does not work after Router Replacement – M3

Hello

We have a number of computers in the home, including one who stands in the basement as Type Server, the printers are connected to it, and we save documents / images etc on this computer too.

For some odd reason, I had managed to get the Wake-On-Lan to work so that we can sit “up here” and awaken the computer in the basement. Was really proud when I got this to work.

Last week we got a new router / modem from Telia, a Technicolor TG799TSvn v2.

Does Wake-On-Lan now? Non said George, not a chance. Thought that I have managed to get it working again, I suppose I should succeed once more. Not a chance!!!! But now I have to run down to the basement and bring the computer each time, at great risk to get exercise (bad).

So now I figured you knowledgeable and kind of data geniuses could help me to get started is an additional time.

Ps. We have both wired and wireless connections ..

My knowledge regarding networks is very limited, but is pretty good at boats.

And then came the next question (absolutely no hurry with it) but it could serve me from the computer in the boat can take me into the so called server here at home? Although able to print?

Technology that captures dyslexia was winning business idea – Swedish Dagbladet

Mattias Nilsson Benfatto, Gustaf Öqvist Seimyr and Fredrik Wetter Hall scooped the title of the future entrepreneur in 2015. Photo: Tomas Oneborg

Five finalists received Tuesday night to present their business idea to investors and business angels who have traveled to Carnegie’s head office in Stockholm.

Equipped with audience response allowed the investors to add their voices to the company they judged to have the greatest potential to succeed.

When the votes was counted it was clear that it was the company Optolexia, with contractors Gustaf Öqvist Seimyr, Mattias Nilsson Benfatto and CEO Fredrik Wetter Hall in the lead, which fell investors on the lip. This means that the company nowadays can claim to be the future contractor 2015th

– This is a recognition for us. A small companies are in a pretty vulnerable position and the wind’s not the right way every day. Then it is nice that people actually believe in what you are doing, says Fredrik Wetter Hall, CEO of Optolexia.

Company has developed a software that analyzes eye movements. It is used for the early detection of reading and writing among children.

After the end of the year would Optolexia roll out the product in Sweden and offer it to schools and municipalities. Later, in 2016 hopes to also get into Norway, Denmark and the United States.

In addition to the honor rewarded the company with tailor-made counseling sessions with main sponsor Carnegie. Fredrik Wetter Hall believes that participation in SvD’s betting the future entrepreneur has been valuable.

– This has meant contact with different people and we have been training our argument. For us it is a useful process to go through, he said.

Optolexias CEO Fredrik Wetter Hall. Photo: Tomas Oneborg

Last year, the company Swedish Pharma took home the award of the future contractor. After profits linked company in the hop by the business incubator Serendipity.

This year’s winner hope that this award and the advice from Carnegie, among other things, provide new approaches.

– Partly we are in a starting phase, and we want to find the best talent out there. So the attention we get for this really means a lot. Then, when you build a company, you have to build it from scratch in a good way. That, I suspect that Carnegie can contribute to this process of thinking right. It is easy to get tunnel vision after a while. So it’s good that someone can ask those tough questions, says Fredrik Wetter Hall.

During the final conversed a panel of financier Sven Hagströmer, Sophia Bendz, investors, Helena Stjernholm CEO of Industrivärden and Altor-founder Harald Mix of challenges for Swedish entrepreneurs. Photo: Tomas Oneborg

Recently received Optolexia funding of 5 million from Karolinska Institutet Innovations AB, and Segula. In total, the company has a capital of 15 million over the next 12 to 18 months.

How quickly the hope you bring in the other ten million?

– We in no hurry. We feel pretty confident about the ones we have had with us. Since money is one thing, the second is excellence. When we’re investors, we look for those who have experience and networks within our area, says Fredrik Wetter Hall.

Sync the clock with a time server – PC All

Hello,

I have a network with 10 PC (Win 7 64-bit). There is a local network with no connection to the Internet.

These are part of a workgroup. I have now noticed that the clock is running a little different on these PC in Windows.

My idea is that one of these 10 pieces PC should be “Master / Server” for the time in this network and that the other 9 pc PC download / sync their time on this “server”. Then I do not have internet will self-evident the PC acting time server to also be wrong but we must in any case so that all 10 pieces PC has the same time.

I’ve checked around and find any application to install and even found this with the Windows Time service (W32Time). Want course prefer not to install additional software and are looking to use the service W32Time if this goes?

I’ve read a bit about this and NTP Server, Forest ….. but think it’s a bit messy when you find suggests some different solutions and how to set it up, go in and make the registry changes etc.

Does anyone have a suggestion on the solution and the simplest way to set up so I can get my 10 pcs PC with Win 7 to synchronize their watches with one of these PC which then may act time server on the other 9 pc PC in my local network with working?

On Saturday, however, banking rival Nordea suffered technical problems.

– The only thing we know is that we have this problem and we are investigating what caused it, says Petter Larsson, Press Secretary at Nordea.

Later the afternoon went there to get in on the website again.

The hacker demanding money

A person Expressen been CONTACT WITH claim that it is he who is behind the attacks.

“I did it simply because I felt like it. I have power to take down the website I want. Can take a lot more stuff,” writes via Skype.

Now it turns that the hacker places demands on banks. Claes Warrén at Swedbank says that they received a message from the suspected perpetrator shortly before the site was overloaded on Friday. The requirement that the person would not attack them: Money.

– There is someone who has taken on it and that has demanded money. If it is the same person I do not know, says Claes Warren.

The sum is the equivalent to USD 10 000 in the digital currency Bitcoin.

Nordea: No comments

Bitcoin is used to make payments directly between users online, without a third party in the form of a bank.

– We have not had any direct contact. The person has just twittered to us, says Claes Warren.

A possible hacking attack is however nothing Nordea want to comment.

– There is nothing that I have any comments. I have seen this data, but it is nothing that we know, says Petter Larsson Nordea.

Games giants flock Swedish Doldis: “Been a Ferrari for several years” – Breakit (press release)

With the software Simplygon has Doldis company Donya Labs developed the computer game industry by storm. Linkoping company currently has over half of the world’s largest computer games company to its customers, including Activision Blizzard, who had just bought the Swedish King 50 billion and Square Enix.

According to Koshi Hamedi, co-founder, there is no other company in the world that can be seen as a direct competitor to his company. For better and for worse.

“There are other companies that make parts of what we do, but no one who has the same overall solution. But it had probably been good to have some competition. It easily becomes blind to otherwise, “he says.

Simplygon software makes it möjigt for gaming companies to compress automatically 3D models in games so that the games require less computing power to function. Companies that do not use the company’s services typically do the work manually, which requires both time and resources.

Although the Linköping company, which in 2013 brought in SEK 10 million in venture capital from SEB Ventures, has 30 employees and is growing rapidly until now largely gone over the medial radar. Koshi Hamedi do not think it is particularly strange.

“It is often the case with business services. Simplygon used in over 300 of the last years biggest game titles. But it is only in the background, “he says.

So far they have only been directed at the largest gaming companies, but for the past year, they have partly changed tracks. Among other things, align themselves now against all companies with any kind of product design and 3D printing. Although virtual reality industry is a focus area for Simplygon.

Koshi Hamedi was recently in Stockholm and the company introduced the developer of VR games.

“VR is a very young industry and we comes in very early. We cooperate both with Oculus and Microsoft Hololens this. All major game releases in the near future using our service. It has not done anything rash omsättnignen yet, “he says.

Forward the company wants to give smaller computer game developers the ability to use the product. In the current situation has to shell out half a million crowns to use the product for a single game.

“We have been a Ferrari for several years. An exclusive product for just the big players. Now we will be broader, “says Koshi Hamedi.
