Keeps track of my dog - now they want to reach more people – New Technology

The Mobile World Congress is not just a playground for the giants of the mobile industry. On site there are also a large number of small technology companies who hope for breakthrough. One of them is Imagimob looking for new partners for its technology to recognize movements. Like many other Swedish companies, they are part of the Business Sweden’s collection booth at the show.

Imagimob has developed an algorithm that can be used to recognize different types of movements. The company hopes to electronics manufacturers to build into their hardware to track the movements of things, people and animals.

– So far we have sold software to customers who have their own hardware platform. Now, we have developed a custom hardware design optimized so that we have a customer can sell both hardware and software, says Anders Hardebring, CEO and founder of Imagimob.

The new hardware will lower the threshold for the who wants to use its algorithm. The hardware and the algorithm is called Sensor Beat and launched during the Mobile World Congress.

The combined module is already being tested by a company that builds a product that allows dog owners to measure how their dogs move during the day when they are alone at home. But Anders Hardebring see that the technology has far greater potential than that advanced pedometer for pets.

– It can be helmets, goggles, clothing, power tools, vehicles. This is really very wide, he said.

What sets Imagimobs algorithm from other companies’ technology to track the movements are according to him, just that it is more general and can be easily adapted to all possible applications.

– this is based on artificial intelligence, so if we work with a particular client and a particular application so we can easily, by training the software to recognize a particular movement without having to go in and encode a particular application, says Anders Hardebring.

the company’s module will also be able to save both power and connectivity needs of users.

– Much of the internet of things is that it has sensors located and currents data to cloud services, but we are putting intelligence out there in the gadget. When lying, and streams of data, it takes a lot of battery, and if you have many sensors as there will also be large amounts of data to manage, he says.
