Epson and SMART Technologies Inc. today announced an agreement whereby SMART Notebook software ® for collaborative learning now will accompany Epson’s interactive projectors worldwide. By creating a powerful combination of interactive inlärnng it will now be easier than ever for teachers to gain access to a globally recognized software and market-leading viewing opportunities for cooperation.
“Teachers are always looking for the hardware and software solutions that best helps them to teach effectively, and promotes student engagement and learning outcomes,” said Vadim Couthon, Epson Sweden Manager. “This cooperation is aimed directly at teachers ‘needs to create engaging, impactful and fun lessons, and also to meet teachers’ needs in real time. By bringing together these leading interactive classroom techniques, we provide the tools necessary to meet those needs.”
The new agreement is based on the already established software relationship between the two companies, a relationship that has enabled Epson to sell SMART Notebook software with its interactive projectors in certain global markets since 2013. Epson will now packaging SMART Notebook software, including a subscription to SMART Notebook Advantage in the first year, along with Epson’s interactive projectors as standard on a global basis. Subscription allows customers to upgrade to any new version Notebook software during this first year, and also gives them access to technical support and unlocks premium features in Notebook.

Epson’s complete interactive projector series has been tested and fully approved by SMART for use with SMART Notebook software and SMART Notebook software fully supports Epson’s interactive features such as dual pen and touch sensor. Both Epson and SMART will provide support and training for their respective products and thus give teachers a strong self-confidence when they brings improved collaboration to classrooms and other educational programs.
