Need to run this one more lap. The first lap I and “A” have already done, then-pending solution on the web.
But we start from zero, but to tell you about our scanty proposals / sample solutions which might be tricked to point in the wrong direction … (I can reconnect at a later stage)
A is a client.
A brief background, jump over if you like:
A In its coffee room / dining room to a wall mounted TV / computer screen.
When the device is used as a computer screen is only intranet “information board” displayed. They have blocked all access to be able to start the instance. a web browser and surf to the Play Stations or Youtube. (It is not blocked on the network but has no authority to even take up the Windows Start menu)
I got when a Chromecast them.
The idea was to “man” could use their mobile or tablet for instance. check on Youtube.
There is a LAN available to which one could attach a (self) access point, but this will be dismissed by the A’s IT department.
There are, at least temporarily, a mobile broadband with WiFi but it is the limited amount of data and is intended for other work-related tasks.
There is a “general” wireless network is available but it’s the kind where you do not specify a password associated with an SSID (which Chromecast want) but one where you get surf to a page and then with ex. BankID to identify themselves and then get a personal username and a password. This is the tricky for Chromecast to handle.
So .. yeah .. now it’s time for you to pursue, how this will be resolved?
