This week is Heidelberg Sweden on tour with his annual Prinect Roadshow. For five days they make four stops to showcase both new and existing software, from business applications to production tools for the industry. AGI had a chat with the company’s product specialist Oscar Runesson.
Hello Oscar! What is the purpose of your roadshow?
– That we from Heidelberg’s side has a lot of news that we want to showcase. In prepress and digital, we often launches in the autumn and it is these that we, together with our other software solutions now to view. We’ve packed bus full of software and our digital press Linoprint 901, moreover, we have everything from business applications to production systems, automation solutions and web-to-print tools.
– Completely new in this year’s Prinect Media Manager it is a tool that provides a new way for graphic service providers to work with self-archiving, database-driven one. Here it is possible to work with modern tools, such as the iPad and more.
– The journey based on showing news, get closer to customers than you can make at fairs. The goal is that we will always be on the printers.
Which is what is on your roadshow?
– We have a product specialist from our key German partners, NRC 7EVEN, a software developer who developed Prinect Media Manager. We have with integration technologies, sales, and so I as a product specialist.
Which cities do you visit?
– We started on Monday with Stockholm where we were for two days, Wednesday and Thursday Ödeshög Gothenburg. On Friday we are in Malmö and park the bus at Holmbergs out in Svågertorp.
How has the response been?
– We have a positive dialogue with both new and old customers. The most obvious questions that visitors place is all about how to grow their business and how to automate the business further.
– Many people ask questions about web-to-print solutions, others are interested in our ERP Business Manager. We have, moreover, made ten installations of only the past year, both in Sweden and Denmark. Business Manager has particularly good spread on the medium-sized printing houses, with 20 employees and more.
Why is it important to do this type of event
– I think it is about back to basics, so to speak. They want to meet in person, feel free to customers’ home, just as they did in the old days. Since we think that we have good products that meet today’s needs and this is a good opportunity to show what we can.
